Doig Medal

Popular stopper, Ryan Crowley was awarded the Doig Medal, for the fairest and best player of the Fremantle Football Club last night at the night of nights for Fremantle supporters.

In a close competition Crowley 146 votes, headed Chris Mayne on 142 votes and then Michael Johnson and Matthew Pavlich both on 136 votes. Luke McPharlin the early favourite finished 5th.

Held at Crown, the function was a great success with over 1,000 attending. Victorian clubs can only dream about those numbers.

You have to be bouyed by the enthusiasm of the players, support staff and fans going into 2013. Top 4 is a reality.
